Welcome to GalaxiStar

GalaxiStar is a creative writing project set in the distant future.  Mankind has ventured into the stars and colonized thousands of worlds.  The universe is a large and ever growing project; this website outlines many of the worlds, races, and technology of this universe.  The GalaxiStar website will continue to grow adding more content, so check back often for updates.

The Worlds of Galaxistar

The worlds of the GalaxiStar universe take place in two different spheres, the inner and the outer.  The inner sphere is where most of the adventures and stories of this universe take place; it is a spherical shaped region extending 500 light years from Sol.

Galactic Regions

The inner sphere consists of a spherical region extending around 500 light years from Sol.  This region of the space is the most diverse and populated place in the galaxy.  It is broken up into numerous regions.  A star system is considered in the region of the closest wormhole.  Wormholes are placed in systems roughly 200 light years apart.  This allows for considerily faster travel in the inner sphere which is nearly 1000 light years across.

Outer Sphere

The outer sphere is everything else outside the inner sphere.  Beyond the 500 light year border of the inner sphere this area lacks wormholes and contains worlds that are far apart.  Travel in the outer sphere takes a long time and can be very dangerous.

Technology

Technologies of the GalaxiStar Universe include anti-gravity, zero point energy, wormholes, terraforming, and faster than light travel.  This technology is based on at least theoretically possible technology.

6/25/08:

Have been working on a new format for the website that will give it a facelift, and hopefully make things easier to navigate.

6/18/08:

Finally got back to regular updates with two new systems in the Spica Region, with more to come.  Sorry about the long delay, I will hopefully start adding and updating more often.
