Vermillion

Vermillion is a planetary system orbiting a orange K-class star.  The system lies in the Canes Venatici Constellation of the Izar Region.

The Vermillion System's primary planet has a surface that's covered in a mixture of ice and liquid water.  Despite an orbit that's close to the sun, the planet is still relatively cold and covered in ice, due to the dim K-class star it orbits.

The planet was settled by a group of missionaries that were travelling through the Izar Region.  Though the planet has grown a notable population, it has never turned into one of the more developed planets in the region.  The planet's surface is simply too cold to support any massive population.

Vermillion B
Vermillion B is a habitable, terrestrial world.  The majority of the planet's surface is covered in a mixture of ice and liquid water.  Despite an orbit that's close to the sun, the planet is still relatively cold and covered in ice, due to the dim K-class star it orbits.

Vermillion C
Vermillion C is a cold world made up of ice and rock.  The planet is volcanically active causing deep grooves across the surface.  There is a very thin atmosphere made up of mostly carbon dioxide.

Distance: 0.93 AU

Vermillion E
V
ermillion E is an outer terrestrial world orbiting far from the dim star.  Its atmosphere is made up of nitrogen giving the clouds a brownish orange hue.  Snowstorms of methane are the most common site on the surface.
